Operation Write Home

I am currently making cards for Operation Write Home, which sends blank handmade cards to deployed servicemen and women. OWH is an amazing organization that ships thousands of cards each month to our nation's Heroes so they have something to write home on. Please check out the tag on the sidebar for more information on this inspiring mission. Please join me in supporting our men and women who sacrifice for us all.

Summer Lovin' Challenge

Kajikit wanted to see a "love" card made with summery colors. And she has a challenge to use up all the scraps from cards made during the whole 2 weeks of Summer Haven. The dark teal shimmery paper was scrap from the skiing Granny card I made (which I will post soon). I know the photo isn't the best but the cool little details made it for me. Like the embossed edging was done with clear on color so it looks watery and crystal-like. And the sentiment was computer generated but the lettering was colored with fine tip pens to connect it to the card color scheme. Prior to assembling, the WHOLE card was run through the crimper for added interest.
